John Hoban is highly regarded nationally and internatoinally for
the unique and deply personal nature of his music. The ultimate multi-instrumentalist, John plays fiddle, melodeon, guitar,
banjo, percussion, mandolin, mandocello, harmonicaa snd more in addition to being a singer and composer of wonderful songs
and music.
John's songs combine very personal and original lyrics/music with various
influences rooted in local and worldwide traditions. It has been said that he could make music from a sheaf of oats. Behind
the talent and enthusiasm of John's music, is a caring wise artist. John Hoban's music brings us back to the source. He searched out music from
old masters, showing deep respect for the social contextx in which music was played for generations. His songs and music bridge
the worlds of improvisation, experimentation and tradition.
